Upcoming Support Programs

The Mood Disorders Association of Ontario offers free peer support and recovery programs to people living with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. We also offer support for family members.

Early Psychosis Intervention Family Forum

Based on the Family Matters Open Family Forum model, this peer support/psychoeducational group is open to families with a loved one experiencing psychosis.  This group will be offered twice per month on the second and forth Thursday from 7:00-9:00 pm.

 

The purpose of this group is to provide peer support, psychoeducational tools and resources to support communication, coping with stress and psychosis.

The OCD Psycho-Ed Peer Support Group for Individuals

A group for individuals identifying with symptoms of OCD that are presenting challenges in their daily lives.  This could include repetitive and intrusive thoughts that cause anxiety and rituals that are performed in an effort to reduce the anxiety.

In this group, participants will have a chance to talk about their challenges and explore ways of coping.

Toronto Drop-In: Women's Peer Support Group

A group for women who are living with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, post-partum depression or hormone related mood disorders.

Please use the access entrance, to enter the building after 4pm. Pressing the button will unlock the door.

This group runs on the 1st and 3rd Monday evening of each month from 6:30-8:30 pm.

 

Please note that MDAO will be closed on Monday February 19th, 2018 for Family Day.

A group for family members or friends of people living with depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder.

A peer support group for individuals identifying as a person of colour. This is a respecful and safe space to discuss mental health challenges, as they relate to the complex identities and experiences of racial minorities in Ontario.

This group runs on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 1:00-3:00 pm and the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7:00-8:50 pm.

A drop-in peer support group for people recovering from mood disorders.
 
We are happy to announce that the West End Peer Support Group will resume on Wednesday January 3rd from 6:00-8:00 pm at Eatonville Library in Etobicoke. It will run on the first Wednesday of the month for the following dates:
