Upcoming Support Programs

The Mood Disorders Association of Ontario offers free peer support and recovery programs to people living with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. We also offer support for family members.

Registered Program: Managing Your Depression and Anxiety

An 8 week educational recovery group for those interested in understanding and developsing tools to cope with depression and anxiety.

  • How thoughts, feelings and behaviours contribute to depression and anxiety.
  • How to manage thoughts, feelings and behaviours related to depression and anxiety
  • Strategies to better manage stress, worry and anger

Sessions will take place on the follwoing Tuesdays from 4:00 to 6:30 pm

Toronto Drop-In: Depression and Anxiety Evening Group

This group is for individuals living with both depression and anxiety.

Meetings occur on the first Tuesday of each month from 7-8:50 p.m.

There is also an afternoon group on the third Tuesday of each month from 1-3 p.m.

Please use the access entrance, to enter the building after 4pm. Pressing the button will unlock the door.

Toronto Drop-In: Monday Night Women's Peer Support Group

A group for women who are living with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, post-partum depression or hormone related mood disorders.

Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour Peer Support Group

A peer support group for individuals identifying as a person of colour. This is a respectful and safe space to discuss mental health challenges, as they relate to the complex identities and experiences of racial minorities in Ontario.

This group runs on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 1:00-3:00 pm and the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7:00-8:50 pm.

Come out to our Program Information Day! Learn about our free drop-in peer support groups, public events, and recovery programs. 

2nd Wednesday of the month, 1:00 to 2:00 pm in group room 1.

Toronto Drop-in: West End Drop-in Peer Support Group

In partnership with Unison Helath and Community Services, MDAO offers a West End Drop-in Peer Support group at Unison Keele and Rogers. This is a drop in group for individuals living with mental health challenges. 

The group meets on 2nd Wednesday of each month from 6PM to 8PM

This group is for individuals living with both depression and anxiety.

Meetings occur on  the third Tuesday of each month from 1-3 p.m.

There is also an Anxiety and Depression Group on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 7:00 to 8:50
